Bajaj Auto, India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced robust sales figures for April 2024, showcasing a 17% growth in domestic auto sales compared to the same period last year. The company recorded a total of 3,88,256 units sold, with domestic sales contributing significantly to this growth, registering a 17% increase at 2,49,083 units. Moreover, exports saw a notable uptick of 18%, totaling 1,39,173 units during the month.
The stellar performance in April extends to both two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, with sales of two-wheelers surging by 19% to reach 3,41,789 units, while commercial vehicle sales witnessed a 7% growth, totaling 46,467 units. Despite challenges in the global market, Bajaj Auto’s consistent focus on innovation and customer-centric strategies continues to drive its success in the automotive sector.
In addition to impressive sales figures, Bajaj Auto reported a substantial year-on-year rise in net profit for the March quarter, reaching Rs 1,936 crore, marking a 35% increase compared to the same quarter last year. The company’s revenue from operations also saw a significant uptick, rising by 29% year-on-year to Rs 11,485 crore.
