Speaking at IMC and ITUWTSA 2024, Ambani highlighted India’s remarkable progress in digital adoption, from being ranked 155th in mobile broadband adoption to becoming the world’s largest data market ¹[2).
India’s digital revolution has spread to remote areas, with over 530 million unbanked Indians integrated into the financial system through Jan Dhan accounts. Notably, 300 million of these account-holders are women. The country’s per capita data consumption of over 30 GB is among the highest globally, demonstrating its commitment to digital inclusivity.
Ambani emphasized the critical role of artificial intelligence (AI) in transforming various sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture, and manufacturing. He pledged to make AI accessible and affordable for all Indians through Jio’s initiatives.
