Sebi chief Madhabi Puri Buch has denied allegations of irregularities and conflict of interest, stating that she never dealt with files involving certain companies. In a counter letter, Buch clarified that her husband Dhaval Buch’s appointments were based on his expertise and experience.
Companies like Mahindra & Mahindra, Pidilite, and Dr. Reddy’s have come out in support of Buch, stating that Dhaval Buch’s services were engaged based on his professional merit. They have denied any wrongdoing or conflict of interest.
Buch has also stated that she has never dealt with any file involving Agora Advisory, Agora Partners, or any of the companies mentioned in the allegations. She has called the allegations “completely false, malicious, and defamatory”.
