Land Rover has unveiled the Defender OCTA in India, a luxury off-roader that redefines what’s possible from a performance and capability standpoint. The Defender OCTA is powered by a 4.4-litre Twin Turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine, producing a staggering 467kW and 750Nm of torque. This makes it the most powerful Defender ever produced, with a 0-100km/h time of just 4.0 seconds.
The Defender OCTA features a hydraulically-interlinked 6D Dynamics suspension system, which virtually eliminates body roll during cornering and provides exceptional wheel articulation for tackling tough obstacles. The luxury off-roader also boasts Terrain Response 2 technology, with dedicated modes for various surfaces. With a wider stance and increased ride height, the Defender OCTA can wade through up to one metre of water.
The Defender OCTA Edition One, priced at Rs 2.85 crore (ex-showroom) in India, features exclusive design elements, including a unique Faroe Green paint finish and luxurious two-tone Khaki and Ebony Ultrafabrics PU interior trim. Orders are set to open soon, with the Defender OCTA poised to redefine the luxury off-roader segment.
