- Zomato introduces a feature to track live food orders across India.
- Users can view the total orders placed on the platform right after making their own order.
- The new feature adds a dynamic element to the user experience.
Zomato has launched a new feature allowing users to track live food orders nationwide. Announced by CEO Deepinder Goyal on Twitter, this update lets users see the total number of orders placed across India right after making their own order.
Deepinder Goyal shared that he placed an order around 11 am and the count had already exceeded 250,000. This feature aims to enhance the user experience by providing real-time activity on the platform, making food ordering more engaging.
Goyal mentioned that he observed around 2 million orders by the end of the day on Thursday, though this figure was not verified. This massive volume of orders underscores the growth and popularity of food-delivery services like Zomato and Swiggy in India.
Functionally, there is no change in the ordering process for general users on Zomato. However, the live tracking feature gamifies the food delivery experience, reflecting the bustling trend of food deliveries across the country.
A cool new update for everyone –
You can now see the LIVE order count on @zomato for the day, right after you place your order. I just placed an order at around 11am, and the count was already over 250,000.
