Byway’s founder, Cat Jones, believes that slow travel is the future of tourism. “We’re selling a complete holiday, which means that when the customer buys with us, if there’s disruption, that’s on us. We fix it. We sort it,” she said. The company’s AI tool is designed to match customers with similar travelers and offer personalized recommendations. Byway has already sold over 4,200 trips and plans to use the funding to expand into new regions and hire more engineers to develop its AI technology.
