Krutrim, the parent company of Ola, has announced a new pricing strategy for Ola Maps, targeting Google Maps in the Indian market. The “Made for India” and “Priced for India” approach offers reduced prices, special deals, and collaboration with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to support Indian startups and developers. Ola Maps aims to provide advanced and affordable mapping tools, promoting digital independence and innovation in India.
The new pricing strategy includes 5 million free API calls per month, 50% off Google’s reduced prices, and free access for long-term commitments and startups on the ONDC platform. Ola Maps also offers a range of APIs and SDKs, including Routes API, Places API, Map Integration, Web SDK, and Android and iOS SDKs. The company has also teamed up with ONDC to provide three years of free Ola Maps APIs for startups and SMBs on the ONDC platform.
