Ola Electric has partnered with EY India to improve its after-sales service and address growing customer complaints. The collaboration aims to enhance Ola’s operations, spare parts management, and customer support, particularly in areas with limited service centers. Approximately a dozen EY executives are working with Ola Electric on a three-month project.
The move comes amid rising customer dissatisfaction, with over 80,000 complaints per month and images of scooters accumulating at service centers. The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has also issued a show-cause notice to Ola Electric for alleged consumer rights violations and unresolved after-sales issues. CEO Bhavish Aggarwal is reportedly heavily involved in the project.
Industry experts suggest that Ola Electric should focus on enhancing the quality of its existing service centers rather than merely expanding the number. The company plans to increase its service network from 400 to 1,000 centers by year-end. However, experts emphasize that quality is more important than quantity in addressing customer concerns.
In a separate development, Ola Electric clarified that its official prices remain unchanged despite reports of discounts on its Ola S1 X 2KWh electric scooter. The company is offering limited-time discounts as part of a festive promotional campaign. Ola Electric’s efforts to improve after-sales service and address customer grievances are crucial in regaining customer trust and competitiveness in the EV market.
