Google has started rolling out Android 15 to eligible Pixel devices, bringing a host of new features focused on privacy, security, and usability. This update aims to make smartphones safer and more user-friendly.
One of the standout features is the “Private Space” for apps, allowing users to hide sensitive apps from recent apps, notifications, and device settings. To access these apps, users need extra authentication, providing an additional layer of security. Additionally, Android 15 introduces the Theft Detection Lock, which uses AI to detect stolen devices and automatically locks them to protect user data.
Android 15 also enhances multitasking on foldable devices. Users can now pin and unpin the taskbar for quick access to favorite apps and pair frequently used apps for easier side-by-side use. Other notable features include Night Sight for Instagram, improved Audio Magic Eraser tool, and seamless media transfer between Pixel devices.
The update is available for Pixel devices, and some features, such as Theft Detection Lock and Remote Lock, will be available on devices running Android 10 or newer. With Android 15, Google continues to prioritize user privacy and security, providing a more robust and intuitive experience for Pixel users.
