HDFC Bank has announced a scheduled system upgrade on July 13, which will temporarily impact UPI services. The upgrade aims to enhance the bank’s performance, capacity, and reliability. During this time, UPI services will be unavailable in two time slots: 3:00 AM – 3:45 AM and 9:30 AM – 12:45 PM.
NetBanking and Mobile Banking services will be unavailable throughout the entire upgrade period, from 3:00 AM to 4:30 PM. All fund transfer modes, including IMPS, NEFT, and branch transfers, will also be affected. However, customers can still use their debit and credit cards for withdrawals, online purchases, and swipe machine transactions, although with restricted limits.
HDFC Bank advises customers to plan their transactions accordingly and withdraw sufficient funds before the upgrade. The bank has scheduled the upgrade on a bank holiday to minimize disruption.
