During a recent appearance at the Viva Tech event in Paris, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk humorously claimed to be an alien. When asked about rumors of his extraterrestrial origins, Musk laughed and said, “I am an alien.” He added, “Yeah, I keep saying I’m an alien, but nobody believes me.”
Speaking remotely via webcam, Musk also shared his thoughts on the future of artificial intelligence (AI). He predicted that AI would eventually eliminate all jobs, which he doesn’t view as entirely negative. “Probably none of us will have a job,” Musk stated, suggesting a future where work becomes optional and jobs turn into hobbies, with AI and robots handling all essential tasks.
Musk stressed the importance of training AI to be truthful rather than politically correct. “It’s very important that AI be trained to be truthful and not trained to be politically correct,” he said. He warned that programming AI for political correctness could lead to misinformation and negative consequences, urging regulators to ensure AI accuracy and truthfulness above all else.
