Qualcomm has launched its latest Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset in India, targeting affordable devices. In an exclusive interview, Chris Patrick, Qualcomm’s Senior Vice President, explained the company’s focus shift to the budget-friendly segment. He emphasized the need for incredible 5G technology at lower price points, enabling new services and experiences.
The Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset offers a great camera, fast modem, and excellent AI technology, providing a high-end experience at an affordable price. Qualcomm’s in-house design of graphics, AI, modem, and RF technology allows for a cost-effective package.
Patrick also discussed the integration of AI features into affordable chipsets, stating that while generative AI will take longer to integrate, they have plans for it. The company aims to cover the full spectrum of price points, making technology accessible to as many people as possible.
