Mercedes-Benz India has taken a significant step towards a sustainable future by expanding its Sustainability Garage initiative. The program aims to promote sustainable mobility and environmental solutions through collaboration and innovation. As part of the expansion, two new Centres of Excellence have been established in Hyderabad and New Delhi.
The Climate Tech Incubator in Hyderabad will support 25 social enterprises focused on sustainable mobility and environmental innovation. In partnership with T-Hub, the initiative will also involve students in a bootcamp focused on developing climate tech solutions. The Centre of Excellence for Charging Infrastructure in New Delhi will provide specialized training programs on the maintenance of charging infrastructure, aiming to certify young professionals.
This expansion demonstrates Mercedes-Benz India’s commitment to sustainability and its goal of promoting ecological sustainability and fostering community empowerment. The initiative supports local startups and the next generation of leaders, driving innovation from India to meet global challenges.
