Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Infosys, has signed an MoU with ICT Academy to enhance the employability of young learners in rural India. The foundation has committed a grant of Rs 33 crore to establish ‘Centers of Excellence for Women and Youth Empowerment’ in over 450 colleges across India. The initiative aims to skill 48,000 students over three years, providing them with relevant skills for career development.
The program will offer training in core skills, soft skills, and placement facilitation, leveraging Infosys Springboard, the company’s digital learning platform. The curriculum includes 80 hours of training in core skills and 20 hours of training in soft skills. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between industry demands and student skills, making them more employable in the job market.
