Zepto, a quick commerce major, is set to launch Zepto Postpaid, a buy now, pay later service that will allow users to make interest-free repayments up to Rs 5,000. This move follows Zepto’s recent funding round, which raised $340 million and elevated its valuation to $5 billion.
Zepto has partnered with Simpl, a BNPL firm, to offer a seamless payment experience to its customers. This partnership has already seen significant success, with over 13 million checkouts via Zepto as of April. Simpl aims to increase this number to 100 million by 2026.
With Zepto Postpaid, users will have the flexibility to pay for their purchases later, making it easier for them to shop on the platform. This move is expected to boost Zepto’s growth and expansion plans, which include doubling its dark store network to 700 by March 2025.
