Tata Power has signed an agreement with Noida International Airport (NIA) to supply renewable energy, marking a significant step towards sustainable aviation. The deal involves a Rs 550 crore investment by Tata Power to set up solar and wind power units.
Under the agreement, Tata Power Trading Company Ltd will manage the renewable energy portfolio, supplying 10.8 MW of wind power and 13 MW of onsite solar power. The partnership ensures NIA’s clean energy needs are met through a comprehensive Power Purchase Agreement.
Tata Power’s CEO, Praveer Sinha, emphasized the company’s commitment to pioneering renewable energy integration. NIA’s CEO, Christoph Schnellmann, highlighted the airport’s vision for environmentally conscious operations.
The partnership supports India’s goal of reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable development.
