OpenAI has launched GPT-4o Mini, a more affordable and lighter version of its powerful language model. This new offering aims to make AI development more accessible to developers who were previously priced out of using larger models like GPT-4. GPT-4o Mini boasts impressive performance, achieving an 82% score on the MMLU benchmark, and has already been used in partnerships with fintech startup Ramp and email client Superhuman.
GPT-4o Mini is designed for simpler tasks and is available to ChatGPT users on Free, Plus, and Team plans, as well as to developers via OpenAI’s API. The model supports text and vision processing, with plans to expand to multimodal inputs and outputs like video and audio in the near future.
