  • Supports multiple languages including Hindi, Bengali, and English, with four voice options.

Google Chrome is rolling out a new feature called “Listen to This Page” for Android users, allowing them to listen to web pages in the language and voice of their choice. According to 9to5 Google, this update will be available to all stable users soon.

To use this feature, simply tap on the “Listen to This Page” option in the three-dot menu of the Chrome Android app, located just below the Translate option. This feature lets users listen to web pages in a podcast-like style, with controls to play, pause, rewind, fast-forward, and skip 10 seconds.

Currently, there are four voice options available: Ruby (mid-pitch, warm), River (mid-pitch, bright), Field (low-pitch, bright), and Moss (low-pitch, peaceful). Supported languages include English, Hindi, Bengali, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

It’s important to note that this feature is not available on all web pages. If a website doesn’t support it, the option won’t appear in the three-dot menu. Previously, users could listen to pages using Google Assistant, but the new feature offers more customization options. To see if this feature is available, update your Chrome app and check the three-dot menu. This feature is already available on iOS Safari, where users can listen to pages in Siri’s voice.
