  • EtherealX’s design allows for both upper stage and booster reusability, unlike SpaceX’s Falcon 9.

EtherealX Secures Funding for Reusable Rockets
EtherealX, a Bengaluru-based space tech startup, has raised $5 million in seed funding to develop reusable rockets. The funding round was led by YourNest and saw participation from other investors. The startup will use the funds to develop engines for its proposed launch vehicle, “Razor Crest Mk-1”.
Reusable Rocket Technology
EtherealX’s design aims to achieve full reusability, allowing both the upper stage and booster to return to Earth after successful launches. This technology has the potential to significantly reduce the cost of space launches. The startup’s founders, including ex-ISRO scientists, believe their technology can address frequency and pricing challenges in the space industry.
Launch Vehicle Capabilities
The “Razor Crest Mk-1” launch vehicle will be capable of launching 8 tonnes into lower Earth orbit and carrying payloads of over 24.8 tonnes in a disposable configuration. It will also be designed to deliver payloads into geostationary transfer and trans-lunar injection orbits. With this technology, EtherealX aims to make a significant impact in the space industry.
