CapitaLand Investment Ltd, a Singapore-based asset management firm, is planning to invest over Rs 45,000 crore in India by 2028. The firm, which has been investing in India for three decades, will focus on growing sectors like data centres and logistics hubs.
The investment is part of CapitaLand’s global target of achieving $200 billion worth of funds under management by 2028. The firm currently has $100 billion worth of funds under management. In India, CapitaLand plans to diversify its portfolio, which is currently skewed towards business parks.
CapitaLand has already started investing in data centres, with a project in Navi Mumbai worth over a billion dollars. The firm plans to link the project with renewable energy generation like solar power plant to make it environmentally sustainable.
