Adani One, the super app of Adani Group, has taken a significant step into digital lending by partnering with fintech firms and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs). The app has started pilots to offer loans to its customers, with KrazyBee Services, the NBFC arm of KreditBee, being its first co-lending partner. This move marks a strategic expansion of Adani One’s services beyond travel and airport-related services.
As part of the agreement, Adani Digital will act as a lending service provider, while personal loans will be extended from KrazyBee’s books. The app aims to offer credit products to its customers, leveraging Adani Group’s large existing consumer base of 400 million across its airports, electricity, and gas distribution businesses. Adani One has also applied for a license to offer its own UPI payments service, further solidifying its position in the digital payments space.
The super app market in India is becoming increasingly competitive, with numerous players vying for dominance. Adani One’s strategic expansion into digital lending and payments positions it as a strong contender in the market. With its focus on leveraging Adani Group’s existing consumer base and exploring mid-sized deals in the fintech space, Adani One aims to capture a larger digital ecosystem and connect with 500 million users by 2030.
