Swiggy is enhancing the health and well-being of its delivery partners with two new initiatives: Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) and teleconsultation services. Partnering with Dial 4242, Swiggy has launched MMUs in key locations across Bangalore. These units provide vital health services, including check-ups, first aid, vision screenings, and health education, serving about 200 partners daily. Plans are underway to expand this service to other cities soon.
In collaboration with the Reliance-powered Visit app, Swiggy offers teleconsultation services to delivery partners and their families. This service provides virtual access to specialists in General Medicine, Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics, along with subsidized rates on prescribed medications. Swiggy’s Head of Operations, Mihir Shah, emphasizes the importance of these initiatives in ensuring delivery partners prioritize their health despite their busy schedules.
These programs are part of Swiggy’s “Delivering Safely” charter, which also includes on-demand ambulance services and paid period time off, reinforcing Swiggy’s commitment to the safety and well-being of its delivery partners.
