OpenAI has rolled out a significant update for its ChatGPT users, introducing the GPT-4 Turbo version. This update aims to provide more direct responses with less wordiness and incorporates controversial language into its interactions. However, the new features are exclusively available to users who have subscribed to ChatGPT Plus, Enterprise, or API packages.
The GPT-4 Turbo update boasts improvements in writing, math, logical reasoning, and coding capabilities, offering users enhanced functionality and efficiency in various tasks. Notably, this update is a major leap forward as it has been trained on data until April 2024, surpassing its predecessor, which was only updated until April 2023.
In addition to the GPT-4 Turbo release, OpenAI recently made the GPT-4 with Vision API available to developer accounts, enabling the creation of more effective applications and streamlining processes. However, amidst these advancements, OpenAI also faced internal challenges, as it reportedly fired two researchers for leaking information, underscoring the complexities and responsibilities associated with AI development and management.
