Nikesh Arora, the Indian-origin CEO of Palo Alto Networks, earns more than Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. According to a Wall Street Journal report, Arora’s compensation is $151.43 million, making him the second highest paid CEO in the US, just after Broadcom’s CEO Hock Tan.

Arora completed his schooling in Delhi and graduated from IIT-BHU in Electrical Engineering. He then pursued an MBA from Northeastern University and an MS in Finance from Boston College. His career includes prominent roles at Google as Chief Business Officer and at Softbank as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Arora has led Palo Alto Networks for six years, consistently drawing high compensation. In 2012, he was Google’s highest paid executive with a $51 million package and had accrued $200 million in stock awards by the time he left. His substantial stock awards at Palo Alto are intended to retain his leadership.
