Infosys CEO Salil Parekh has confirmed that the company has no plans for job cuts, despite widespread layoffs in the tech industry due to advancements in generative AI. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Parekh emphasized that Infosys will not follow the downsizing trend seen in other companies.

Parekh highlighted Infosys’ strategy to integrate technologies like generative AI, creating new opportunities rather than eliminating jobs. He stated that Infosys will continue hiring and developing expertise in generative AI to better serve global enterprises.

Recently, Infosys issued performance bonuses to its employees, although the average payout for the fourth quarter dropped to 60 percent from 73 percent in the previous quarter. This reduction affected employees at band six and below.

Infosys founder Narayana Murthy also commented on India’s progress in adopting global innovations, stating that while significant strides have been made, there is still room for improvement in originating new technologies.
