CMF by Nothing has announced the upcoming launch of its first smartphone, the CMF Phone 1, through a post on X (formerly Twitter). The teaser hints at an entry-level model with a unique design, featuring an orange faux-leather panel and a circular dial, reminiscent of the CMF Buds charging case.
Leaked details suggest the CMF Phone 1 will sport a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED screen with thick bezels and be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM. Storage options may include 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It is expected to run on NothingOS 2.6.0, a version not yet available to the public.
For photography, the CMF Phone 1 might offer a dual-camera setup with two 50-megapixel sensors on the back for primary and wide-angle shots. A 16-megapixel front camera is also expected. The device will likely include a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
Priced at around Rs 12,000, the CMF Phone 1 aims to be an affordable entry-level option. While launch plans for India are not confirmed, its competitive pricing and innovative design could appeal to budget-conscious consumers. Carl Pei, the OnePlus co-founder leading the UK-based startup, emphasizes innovative design as a key focus for CMF by Nothing.
