Apple has confirmed the dates for its Worldwide Developers’ Conference (WWDC) 2024, which will take place from June 10 to 14. The event will kick off with a keynote address from Apple CEO Tim Cook and other senior executives, who are expected to announce significant updates for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS. This keynote will be livestreamed on the Apple website, Apple Developer app, Apple TV app, and YouTube at 10:30 PM IST.

During the five-day event, Apple will host over 100 technical sessions led by Apple engineers, designers, and experts. One of the most anticipated announcements is Apple’s partnership with OpenAI. Reports suggest that new AI features for iPhones, such as transcribing voice memos, auto-generated emojis, and a more conversational Siri, will be part of the iOS 18 update.

In addition to AI integrations, Apple is expected to introduce app icon customization options, allowing users to place icons freely rather than in a fixed grid. While Apple has been working on its own AI model, the company is also considering Google’s Gemini AI model as an option. The WWDC 2024 will provide more insights into Apple’s plans for integrating generative AI into its ecosystem, addressing its relatively late entry into the AI space compared to competitors like Google and Samsung.
