Zoho, a leading software company, will establish an R&D centre in Eastern UP by the end of 2024. This move aims to create a world-class R&D capability and leverage local talent. CEO Sridhar Vembu emphasized the importance of tapping into talent across India, beyond urban areas.
Zoho has already made a successful foray into Kerala with its AI R&D centre, launched in collaboration with the Kerala Startup Mission and Institute of Human Resources Development. The company plans to expand its presence across India, with a focus on creating meaningful opportunities for local talent.
Zoho’s expansion plans come as the company explores new areas, including chipmaking. Reports suggest that Zoho is seeking incentives from the government to set up a chip fabrication plant with a potential investment of $700 million.
