YouTube Premium prices have been increased in India, with the Family plan seeing a 58% hike to ₹299 per month.

Other plans, including Student, Individual, and Prepaid, have also seen price increases ranging from 12.6% to 15%.

Despite the price hike, YouTube Premium benefits remain unchanged, including ad-free streaming, offline downloads, and background playback.
YouTube has increased its Premium subscription prices in India, affecting all plans. The Family plan, which allows up to five members to share a single subscription, has seen the most significant jump, from ₹189 to ₹299 per month. This increase is substantial, but it’s not the only one. The Student Plan, Individual Plan, and Prepaid Plans have also seen price hikes.
Despite the price increase, YouTube Premium benefits remain unchanged. Subscribers can still enjoy ad-free streaming, high-bitrate 1080p video, offline downloads, background playback, and ad-free access to YouTube Music. The revised prices apply to both new subscribers and existing Premium users.
The price hike puts YouTube Premium in line with other streaming services like Spotify Premium and Apple Music. However, YouTube’s unique features, such as ad-free videos and background playback, may still make it an attractive option for its over 100 million global subscribers.
