Simple Energy, an Indian electric vehicle start-up, is expanding its retail presence with the launch of six new showrooms across India. The company plans to open these showrooms in Vijayawada, Bangalore, Pune, and Goa, marking the first phase of its retail expansion. The showrooms, known as “Simple Stores,” will offer an immersive experience, allowing customers to interact with Simple Energy’s electric scooters, including the Simple One and Simple Dot One models.
The expansion is part of Simple Energy’s strategy to compete with established players like Ola Electric and Ather in the Indian electric vehicle market. The company has already started delivering its scooters in Bangalore as part of a pilot phase and plans to expand its retail network with 45 dealerships across India by the end of the financial year.
Simple Energy’s focus on innovation and sustainability is reflected in its products, with the Simple One offering a certified range of 212 km and the Simple Dot One offering a range of 151 km. The company has also emphasized its commitment to in-house production, claiming to have produced 95% of its scooter components in-house.
