Ola Electric co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal has announced that the company’s scooters will soon be serviceable by any garage or mechanic. This move is expected to increase accessibility for customers, who previously had to rely on authorized service centers. The company’s products will also be available on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) starting next week, making it easier for consumers to purchase and maintain Ola Electric scooters.
The partnership with ONDC is aimed at broadening market reach and making Ola Electric scooters more accessible to consumers across India. Aggarwal has been a strong advocate of ONDC, describing it as the “UPI moment for e-commerce”. The company has also launched new electric motorcycles and indigenously developed battery cells and packs, along with the new Gen-3 platform and MoveOS 5.
This move is part of Ola Electric’s efforts to increase accessibility and convenience for its customers. The company has also announced integration with ONDC, 100% electric logistics, AI-driven product discovery, and accessible credit options, among other initiatives.
