Ola Electric maintains its stance on the integrity and legality of its practices.
Ola Electric has strongly denied allegations made by MapMyIndia’s parent company, CE Info Systems, accusing Ola of stealing proprietary data to build Ola Maps. The allegations claim that Ola duplicated MapMyIndia’s API and SDKs, co-mingled and reverse-engineered licensed products, violating their agreement.
Ola Electric has categorically denied these claims, stating that they are “false, malicious, and misleading.” The company maintains that it stands by the integrity of its business practices and will respond to the notice shortly.
The controversy stems from a legal notice sent by CE Info Systems to Ola, accusing the company of breaching their agreement signed in June 2021. MapMyIndia claims that Ola has misused their proprietary data to develop Ola Maps, violating intellectual property laws.
