Jeff Bezos, the founder of Blue Origin, recently gave a tour of the company’s factory in Cape Canaveral, Florida, to YouTube personality Tim Dodd, also known as “Everyday Astronaut.” During the tour, Bezos showcased the massive New Glenn rocket, which is one of the largest rockets ever built. The New Glenn rocket is designed to be partially reusable and can carry 45 metric tons to low-Earth orbit.
Bezos explained the advanced technology and engineering that went into building the rocket, including its reusable Stage One and advanced welding techniques. He also emphasized the importance of reusability in making spaceflight more affordable and challenging the traditional cost structure of the industry.
The tour provides a rare glimpse into Blue Origin’s operations and the development of the New Glenn rocket, which is expected to have its maiden flight later this year.
