Jack Dorsey, who started Twitter, recently showed love for Tesla by posting “i love tesla” under a Tesla message on X. Elon Musk, Tesla’s boss and now X’s owner after buying it in 2022, replied with heart emojis. This sweet moment between the two tech big shots stands out because it’s rare—and because Tesla’s been having a tough time lately with attacks and challenges.

Tesla’s been dealing with a wave of vandalism in the U.S., hitting showrooms, charging spots, and even people’s cars with firebombs and bullets. This started picking up since Musk took a job in Donald Trump’s government leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Musk says “left-wing groups” are behind it and paying for it, but he hasn’t shown proof yet. With Tesla’s stock bouncing around and these troubles growing, Dorsey’s support is a bright spot for Musk.

Dorsey’s words mean more because he hasn’t always been a Musk fan. After Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion, Dorsey said Musk should’ve ditched the deal and that things went bad under him. But lately, talking to Founders Fund, Dorsey changed his tune. He likes how Musk runs X now, pushing free speech and ditching the old ad-focused setup he called “sinful.” He even cheered Musk taking Twitter private, saying the old board was always trouble. This shift makes his Tesla love note a big thumbs-up for Musk at a rocky time.
