A recent SAP survey reveals that Indian midmarket organisations are ahead of their global counterparts in adopting generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). 96% of Indian businesses prioritize GenAI, compared to 91% globally.
The survey highlights the importance of AI in India’s midmarket sector, with businesses focusing on AI for cybersecurity preparedness, decision-making, privacy, and customer experience. Indian companies are also using AI for forecasting, budgeting, marketing, and sales content development.
However, talent acquisition remains a significant challenge, with 39% of Indian businesses struggling to attract and retain AI-skilled professionals. Other concerns include data transparency and acting on incorrect information.
The survey demonstrates India’s midmarket businesses are embracing AI to drive growth, innovation, and competitiveness in the digital economy.
