Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that India will launch its AI mission soon, with the aim of harnessing AI’s power in critical sectors. Speaking at the Global IndiaAI Summit 2024, Vaishnaw emphasized the need to democratize technology and ensure that AI benefits society as a whole.
The India AI mission has been approved by the Union Cabinet and is currently in the process of being set up. Vaishnaw highlighted the potential of AI to transform industries like agriculture, education, healthcare, medicine, and pharmaceuticals. He also emphasized the need for appropriate limits on AI technology and its integration with social and democratic institutions.
