Google has expanded its Gemini Live voice chat feature to all Android users, enabling seamless two-way conversations with its AI chatbot. Previously exclusive to premium subscribers, this feature is now accessible to everyone with the Gemini app.
To use Gemini Live, simply download and install the Gemini app on your Android device. Locate the waveform icon at the bottom right of the screen, tap it, and accept the terms. You can then start speaking to initiate a conversation with the AI. The interface resembles a phone call, allowing you to interrupt the AI and change the conversation’s direction.
While free users have access to basic functionality, paid subscribers enjoy additional features, including ten different AI voices. Gemini Live’s capabilities are notable, but lack the emotional expressiveness of ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode. Nonetheless, this development marks significant progress in AI-powered voice communication.
With Gemini Live, Google further enhances its AI capabilities, providing Android users with an intuitive and responsive voice chat experience. Try it out today and explore the possibilities of conversing with AI.
