Google Pay has unveiled a range of exciting new features at the Global Fintech Fest 2024. These updates aim to make digital payments more convenient, simple, and secure for users. The new features include UPI Circle, UPI Vouchers (eRupi), Clickpay QR Scan, Prepaid Utility Payments, Tap & Pay with RuPay Cards, and UPI Lite Autopay.
One of the standout features is UPI Circle, which allows users to delegate payment capabilities to trusted individuals, even if they don’t have a bank account. UPI Vouchers (eRupi) enable users to generate prepaid vouchers linked to mobile numbers for digital payments. Clickpay QR Scan simplifies bill payments with customized QR codes.
The updated app will also allow users to make recurring payments for prepaid utility bills directly within Google Pay. RuPay cardholders can now add their cards to Google Pay and use tap-to-pay functionality with NFC-enabled smartphones. Additionally, UPI Lite accounts will gain an auto-top-up feature, ensuring users always have sufficient balance for transactions.
