Apple might surprise users by releasing AI-powered Siri updates sooner than anticipated. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, certain Siri improvements could arrive with the iOS 18.3 update in January, ahead of the initially planned iOS 18.4 release in March 2025.
Apple has outlined a phased rollout for its Apple Intelligence features, starting with initial AI capabilities in iOS 18.1 and additional enhancements in iOS 18.2. The most significant AI-powered features, demonstrated at WWDC 2024 and the iPhone 16 launch, are still expected to debut with iOS 18.4.
The potential early release of Siri enhancements with iOS 18.3 would provide a glimpse into Apple’s broader AI vision. Features like advanced writing tools, object removal from photos, and AI-based image generation are expected to be fully realized by March 2025.
