Apple has officially rolled out iOS 18, its latest operating system, for eligible iPhone devices. The update brings exciting features like Apple Intelligence, enhanced customization, and improved privacy options. However, not all iPhones will receive the update, with older models like iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus no longer supported.
iOS 18 introduces Apple Intelligence, featuring generative AI tools for smarter Siri interactions and image generation, exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro models and future devices with the A17 Pro chip or higher. Other notable features include more customization options for the Home Screen, enhanced privacy tools, and an updated Messages app with support for scheduling texts and improved satellite messaging.
The eligible iPhone models for iOS 18 include devices from iPhone 11 to iPhone 16 series, including iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, and iPhone 15 models. Users can check their device’s eligibility by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
While newer models will benefit from advanced features, older devices like iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 will still experience performance boosts with improvements in battery efficiency and app management. To install iOS 18, ensure your device is eligible and follow the on-screen instructions.
