Apple has released the fifth beta versions of iOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1, introducing the highly anticipated drag and drop feature for iPhone Mirroring. This update enables users to transfer files, images, and content seamlessly between their iPhones and Macs.
With iPhone Mirroring, users can mirror their iPhone’s screen on their Mac and control the phone directly from the computer. The drag and drop feature, showcased at WWDC 2024, was previously absent but is now available for beta testers. To use this feature, users must update both their iPhone and Mac to the latest beta versions.
The update also brings Apple Intelligence to compatible devices, including iPhone 15 Pro or later, iPad, and Mac with M1 chip or newer. Other features announced at WWDC 2024, such as ChatGPT integration in Siri and a redesigned Mail app, are expected to arrive in future updates.
The iOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1 beta 5 are currently available for developers and public beta testers, with an official release expected next month.
