Amazon India has launched “Project Ashray,” an initiative to improve the well-being of delivery associates by establishing dedicated rest points in major cities. The pilot project will initially set up five Ashray centres in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, offering amenities like comfortable seating, clean drinking water, and mobile phone charging stations.
These rest points aim to provide a comfortable environment for delivery associates to rest and recharge. Amazon plans to raise awareness about these rest points and explore a public-private partnership model to develop additional facilities, including those catering to women drivers’ specific needs.
