Adani Group’s Ambuja Cements has announced an investment of Rs 1,600 crore to set up a 6 MTPA capacity cement grinding unit in Bihar. The unit, located in Warisaliganj, will be the company’s first venture in the state. The project will be implemented in three phases, with the first phase of 2.4 MTPA to be commissioned by December 2025.
The company has acquired 67.9 acres of land for the project and has obtained necessary environmental clearance. The unit is expected to commence operations by December 2025. Additionally, Ambuja Cements has been allocated 26.6 acres of land for another cement unit in Muzaffarpur, with environmental clearance currently in progress.
